Lip Blush is a form of cosmetic tattooing and is suitable for women who have pale lip, loss of colour due to ageing, unsymmetrical lips, Filled lips, busy mums, professionals or those who want a low maintenance routine. Women pregnant or breastfeeding People on blood thinners (consult your GP) We offer 2 different types of Lip Blush technique which can be decided at your appointment Velvet lips - 1 colour all over the lips Ombre Lips- Darker Lip line faded towards the centre Lip Blush healing timeline Day 1 Lips appear bright. Mild swelling. Days 2–3 Colour darkens. Lips feel dry. Days 3-7 Flaking begins. Colour appears to disappear. Weeks 4–8 Pigment settles. Final colour develops. 8-12 Weeks Return for touch up. Lip Blush FAQ's Does Lip Blush hurt? Most clients find Lip Blush very manageable. Before the treatment begins, a high-quality topical anaesthetic is applied to keep you as comfortable as possible. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but the sensation is often described as light scratching or gentle vibration rather than pain. Additional numbing products can be applied throughout the treatment to ensure you remain comfortable. Can I wear lipstick after Lip Blush? Yes! Once your lips have fully healed, you can wear lipstick, lip gloss, or lip balm as normal. Many clients find they no longer need lipstick every day because their lips already have a healthy, natural-looking colour, but you're free to enhance the colour whenever you choose. Will my lips look natural? Absolutely. Lip Blush is designed to enhance your natural lip colour rather than create a bold lipstick effect. Together we'll choose a pigment that complements your skin tone and desired look, whether you prefer a subtle tint or a more defined, vibrant finish. Once healed, the colour softens by around 30–50%, leaving a beautiful, natural result. Can old lip tattooing be corrected? In many cases, yes. If you have previous lip tattooing that has faded unevenly or changed colour over time, Lip Blush can often improve the appearance by neutralising unwanted tones and refreshing the colour.
